TJ Dillashaw former UFC Bantamweight Champion is the newest addition to the 2017 VTeam roster. Dillashaw was born and raised in Angels Camp, California where he began his wrestling career at Bret Hart High School . As a senior TJ finished second at the CIF State championships to finish with an overall record of 52-6 on the season. In 2004 TJ received a full ride scholarship to Cal State Fullerton where he competed in the Titans Division 1 program for 4 years. Additionally TJ finished his senior year ranked 10th in the country and was a 3x NCAA graduated qualifier. TJ graduated from the university with a B.S. in Clinical Exercise Science. After TJ’s collegiate career he began his mixed martial arts career under the watchful eye of VTeam athlete Mark Munoz. In March, 2010 Dillashaw made his professional debut where he soon climbed the ranks of the UFC after the Ultimate Fighter 14. In 2015 TJ Dillashaw won the Bantamweight Championship of the world. Dillashaw is currently coached by Duane Ludwig and is currently a coach of the Ultimate Fighter 25 coaching against counterpart Cody Garbrandt who TJ will face off July 8th at international fight week in Las Vegas NV at UFC 213.
